At the end of Part One, Sam took his stepson to a therapist and the therapist confirmed that it was time to cut his losses. This was because Sam’s wife had left him and now that their children were old enough to know better, Sam shouldn’t waste anymore time with that woman. He decided to take some time away from his children because of his insecurities and to try and make things right between him and his stepmother. Sam was determined to fix things between him and his Stepmother but first he needed to get away from his Stepmother, who was, in fact, the reason why his marriage was crumbling in the first place.
So Sam went off to college, got an MBA, and pursued his goal of becoming a successful businessperson. It was during this time that he began to realize just how much Boobs had impacted his relationship with his Stepmother. It wasn’t until after his divorce, when he had finally had the guts to ask her about it. That is when the real problems started.
After getting some support from his friends and his new MBA instructor, Sam was able to confront Boobs and ask for forgiveness. The resulting issues didn’t end there. During the course of the next semester, it became clear that Sam needed more than just guidance in terms of his professional career. He needed to find a way to get away from Boobs – to get rid of the issue once and for all. This is when Sam’s wife discovered that Boobs was indeed still alive, although he claimed to be dead. At this point, Sam realized the mistake his wife had made in letting her Stepson flirt with Boobs and decided to tell his wife that he was going to get away from Boobs forever.
