Supportive stepmom helped out stepson. The most inspirational Mother’s Day gift I can give my stepson is a supportive stepmom. A supportive stepmother. This may be the only gift my stepson wants this year, because the only mother he knows has left him now that she moved away and did not support him and still did not call him on his ass for calling her on the phone when he was supposed to be at work. So he is trying really hard to sell houses and he has really been told that he doesn’t have to do this and he can’t help it, but what he really needs is a supportive stepmother there for him. A real mother. Or someone who can stand by him no matter what and keep tell him that everything will be ok.
Well, a supportive stepmother was my stepfather. A real live supportive stepmother. When my stepson needed me, I called her. She picked up the phone and explained to my stepson that my stepfather was away and could not be there to pick him up and drive him to soccer practice or any of those other things kids do when their parents are not there to help them through those things.
After that episode, my stepfather found out that he had some free time on his hands and decided he wanted to visit my daughter and my son and give them a little support. So he called them on the phone and they told him how great that my stepmother was. He just loved her. A real stepmother who understood and supported him. So this is what a supportive mother does… she gave a stepfather a reason to come home.
