Adorable teen and stepmom get hammered. Adorable Teen and Stepmom Get hammering is one of my favorite poems because it’s so simple and yet so meaningful. In this poem the poet T.S. Eliot describes his feelings after his wife dies and he takes off to Europe on a much needed vacation. He misses his stepmother terribly and after he gets back he does things that are very much against his better judgment. Things like driving too fast and talking on the phone while on the phone.

While T.S. Eliot was away in Europe he had an affair with an English woman. While she was away he took her along with him when he went to England and while they were there they had a baby. Once the baby was born Eliot realized how wrong he had been and decided that he should try to get in touch with his stepmom and get back together.

Of course his plan backfired and now his stepmom has moved out of his life forever and all of his hopes and dreams of reviving the love between him and her are gone forever. So instead of doing what is right for him and his family he goes back to Germany to live with his mother and dad who don’t want him in their home any more. What a terrible tragedy this is but poetic writers can easily turn their misfortune into poetry. In this case T.S. Eliot did just that and we have Adorable Teen and Stepmom Get Hammered by Don Hale.
