Son, Don’t Choose That Ugly Skank Over Me . You hear it all the time, “My mom was so happy that I became a dad.” Well, technically that’s true-if you become a dad, you’re a son. But what if you don’t want to be defined as a son?” A son is usually a child born to parents; a girl or boy in terms of his parents and his biological parents, respectively. The female counterpart to a son is also a girl.
From a biological standpoint, a son makes a first level relation. In contrast, a daughter only becomes a second level relation when she gives birth to a child and the child is adopted by another person (i.e. if she marries and settles down with her husband). In the case of sons, their relation with their biological parents (who are considered the actual father) is the primary level of their biological relationship.
One of the most famous stories in all of history is the story of King Solomon and the queen, Rachel. At the beginning of the story, the king sees his old wife, Sarah, dead and tells his servant, Boaz, not to kill the woman because he knows she is the eldest son of their king, Solomon. Boaz goes ahead and does just that. As a result, Solomon vows never to lay a hand on his wife again.
