The whole book is a whacky comedy-adventure. It takes a bit of time to get used to, but once you are there, this book will be a real roller coaster of a ride. I loved the way he writes Macready and it made me laugh out loud a couple times.

As with most Mickey Mouse stories, Blackmailing Your Step Mom features a huge cast of characters that add very little to the story. However, author David Gerber brings in a lot of qualities as well. Like I said, it’s a fast paced read with macabre undertones and Macready is a likeable character that anyone would want to love and care for. There are other minor characters as well, and most of them are well done. It’s just the main story that makes this novel worth reading.

Bottom line, Blackmailing Your Step Mom is fun and entertaining. I recommend this for anyone who likes a good story about a messed up family and how Macready gets out of trouble. The characters are likeable and the story line is exciting. I recommend this book to people who like to think of ways to get their loved ones to do what is right.
