When she goes back to retrieve it, the homeless guy finds out she had another purse in the same shop the previous night and decides to sell it on the black market. The shoplifter wants to get her hands on her prize money so she can pay off her bills, but she doesn’t want to risk the safety of her children while trying to do so. She tells her stepmom she’s going to get the job done and takes the cash to the store with her, but as she’s walking out the door, she passes by a cop car that has rolled up and is shining its lights on her.
Now, two years have passed, and the shoplifter has finally been caught. She’s confessed to stealing from several businesses and is hoping to get probation so she can keep her license. Unfortunately, her punishment doesn’t include any jail time because the judge found out she was trying to run away from responsibility, so the sentence will be probation only. The story ends here, but I hope it gave you a different view of the life of a shoplifter.
