This Mom Walks In has been one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time. It is funny because it happens to take place on the day that Mom goes in for a regular physical exam. There are some really hilarious moments in this movie as the two older sisters get paranoid and crazy thinking that their Mom is going to die during the walk. The other sister tries to cheer Mom up by trying to talk her through the pain of walking. Eventually though Mom passes out from a heart attack, but she quickly turns into a zombie-like walking zombie.
This movie is appropriate for those who have had to deal with raising kids. It’s just like parenting, except you have two very sick women fighting for your attention. The oldest sister is just trying to help her sister because she is the only one who is able to make Mom happy. There is even one scene where one sister hallucinates that her dead father is talking to her. The rest of the movie is just laugh out loud funny moments.
The DVD includes the alternate opening and closing scenes as well. The other bonus features include a “making of” documentary about the making of the movie and a forward by director Stephanie Meyer. I don’t normally read anything that the makers of a movie to write about but this was definitely worth reading. I recommend watching it with a loved one or two because you won’t want to stop laughing. Make sure they’re awake before you start though.
